Bolsover Volunteering Project

Bolsover Volunteering Project is a new and exciting project which aims to increase the employability, skills and confidence of local people through the provision of interesting, challenging and high quality volunteering opportunities.

We are based at Community Education Centre, Langwith Road, Shirebrook and we are here to help support people from across the Bolsover who would like to volunteer. We also support organisations in Derby who involve volunteers on a day to day basis       

·         Work with community and voluntary organisation and public sector agencies in order to develop a range of volunteering opportunities which are innovative and/or provide opportunities for local people to engage in voluntary action benefiting their communities as well as providing for their own personal and professional development;

·         Promote volunteering and its benefits for individuals and communities;

·         Recruit, place and support volunteers in placements that ensure they achieve maximum benefit from the volunteering experience;

·         Work with volunteer placing organisations, groups and agencies to develop and implement strategies that support them to work towards best practice.
